SuperGold and SuperSilver Microarray Substrate Slides provide superior 500 angstrom (500 Å) gold and silver layer surfaces, respectively, for microarrays, surface plasmon resonance, nanotechnology, electrochemistry, biosensors, and other high-end applications. The manufacturing process begins with our atomically smooth polished glass as the substrate slide (1 x 25 x 76 mm) and constructs the 500 angstrom gold or silver layers using an ultra-durable adhesion layer attachment method. The SuperGold K and SuperSilver K series provide 2000 angstrom (2000 Å) gold and silver layer surfaces, respectively, for applications requiring thicker Au and Ag surface thickness. Arrayit also offers gold and silver coatings on custom substrates.

The SMGF product is manufactured and packaged in a cleanroom environment, and is provided in boxes of 5 for affordability and ease-of-use. Make sure to use the top (gold) side of the substrate slide for all functional assays. The gold is deposited on the side corresponding to the cropped corner chamfer located in the upper right of the substrate slide as shown in the photograph.
