Microarray Wash Station (6 Slides)
|
Item Number: AWS
|
Arrayit Microarray Wash Station (6 Slides) has a capacity for 6 glass microarray slides (1 x 25 x 76 mm) and is designed to be used for microarray washes in conjunction with a 500 ml glass beaker, magnetic stir bar and magnetic stir plate. The Arrayit Microarray Wash Station (Cat. AWS) is manufactured from durable polypropylene and the 6 glass slides are inserted in slots in the top and bottom of the AWS for a secure fit during the wash steps. The open design permits the efficient washing of microarray slides to remove unbound fluorescent material following the hybridization step for DNA and protein microarrays, life sciences research and microarray testing. Arrayit Wash Buffers A, B, C and 1, 2, 3 can be used at 500 ml per wash step for long and short oligonucleotide microarray applications. The stir bar fits under the wash station to enable rapid and efficient mixing on a magnetic stir plate. Ships as 1 wash station per order.
Tools - Wash Stations - Microarray Wash Stations (6 Slides) to Speed and Simplify the Blocking, Washing and Rinse Steps for DNA and Protein Microarrays

Short Protocol
1. Fill 500 ml beaker with 500 ml of Wash Buffer A and stir bar.
2. Insert the Microarray Wash Station into beaker.
3. Insert microarray slides into wash station.
4. Turn on the stir plate to initiate buffer circulations.
5. Wash for 60 seconds or until the cover slips separate from the slides.
6. Immediately transfer to a new beaker containing 500 ml of Wash Buffer B and stir bar.
7. Wash 5 minutes on stir plate.
8. Transfer Microarray Wash Station and Slides to beaker with 500 ml of Wash Buffer C.
9. Wash 5 minutes on stir plate.
10. Dry in a microarray centrifuge and scan.
Figure 1. Arrayit Microarray Wash Station (6 Slides) containing 6 standard microarray glass substrate slides (1 x 25 x 76 mm). The wash station holds the slides by the edges to ensure efficient washing while maintaining the integrity of the printed microarrays. Cat. AWS is used in conjunction with a magnetic stir bar and 500 ml glass beaker.
Figure 2. Arrayit Microarray Wash Station (6 Slides) containing 6 standard microarray glass substrate slides (1 x 25 x 76 mm) fitted inside a 500 ml glass beaker containing a small bar and 500 ml wash buffer. Circular buffer circulation efficiently moves the buffer across the microarray surface to facilitate blocking, washing and rinsing steps for DNA and protein microarray applications.
