Arrayit Bronze Cleanroom Testing Platforms provide on-location facilities consisting of a microarray cleanroom containing a full line of the most advanced microarray and automation equipment available designed to genotype, test and screen up to 50,000 patient research specimens per annum. Patient research DNA specimens obtained from blood cards, cheek swabs, saliva, blood draws, needle biopsies and other sources are amplified with gene-specific primers to obtain specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplicons. The amplicons are printed into microarrays on glass slides, hybridized with two-color allele-specific primers, washed at high stringency, scanned for two-color fluorescence emission and analyzed for green and red signals to obtain massively parallel wild-type, heterozygous mutant and homozygous mutant genotyping information for up to 100,000 patient amplicons per slide. Arrayit's unique variation identification platform (VIP) method produces genotyping information in an accurate, rapid and highly affordable manner.
