Product Description
Arrayit offers premium microarray microplate hybridization cassettes and glass microplate substrates for microarray experimentation and processing in the widely-used SBS microplate format. These cassettes are highly durable and the glass substrates can be used with NanoPrint 2 microarrayers, 946 microarray contact printing technology and microplate printing modules, which are designed for high throughput manufacturing in the 96 well format. This technology combination allows 1,000 DNA or protein samples to be printed in each 96-well sub-array on the glass microplate substrate for high-throughput testing of patient research specimens, therapeutic compound screening and other exciting applications.

- SuperClean substrate slides are untreated and are delivered ready to use for custom surface chemistry preparation applications. This superior glass is cut to precision dimensions and polished to atomic smoothness (20-25 angstroms over 25 x 76 mm) to provide the most homogenous surface available in industry. SuperClean Microarray Substrate slides have an average smoothness of 2.0 nanometers or 20 angstroms, which corresponds to approximately 10 silicon dioxide bonds. SuperClean Glass Microplates (Cat. PMCG96) provide super clean surface chemistry in the 1 x 77 x 118 mm microplate format.
- SuperAmine chemistry is used to immobilized unmodified long oligos and cDNAs for gene expression microarrays and other applications. SuperAmine Microarray Substrate slides have an average smoothness of 2.0 nanometers or 20 angstroms, which corresponds to approximately 10 silicon dioxide bonds. SuperAmine Glass Microplates (Cat. PMMG96) provide super amine surface chemistry in the 1 x 77 x 118 mm microplate format.
- SuperAldehyde is used to immobilize amino-modified oligos, amino modified cDNA, proteins, cells, lysates, tissues, etc. This surface is specifically useful in immobilizing short oligos for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) detection microarrays. SuperAldehyde has been used in many protein microarray applications. SuperAldehyde Microarray Substrate slides have an average smoothness of 2.0 nanometers or 20 angstroms, which corresponds to approximately 10 silicon dioxide bonds. SuperAldehyde Glass Microplates (Cat. PMAG96) provide super aldehyde surface chemistry in the 1 x 77 x 118 mm microplate format.
- SuperEpoxy chemistry is great for protein microarrays. It is also an excellent surface to immobilize oligonucleotides, cells, tissues, and carbohydrates. SuperEpoxy Microarray Substrate slides have an average smoothness of 2.0 nanometers or 20 angstroms, which corresponds to approximately 10 silicon dioxide bonds. SuperEpoxy Glass Microplates (Cat. PMEG96) provide super epoxy surface chemistry in the 1 x 77 x 118 mm microplate format.

Glass Specifications
Arrayit uses glass specifications specifically chosen for glass microplate microarray applications. Our highly polished glass surfaces provide superior homogeneity. Please see the following specifications:
1. Microplate formatted glass substrates (0.96 x 75 x 118 mm)
2. Smooth to less than 50 angstroms across the 75 x 118 mm substrate
3. Refractive index of 1.52 (400-700 nm)
4. Transmission of >91% (380-700 nm)
5. Thermal strain point of 490°C
6. Harder than standard glass

Troubleshooting Tips
Slides or substrates not
seating correctly in the base - use a fine forceps to press down on the end of
the slide or substrate when tightening the locating screw.
Slides or substrates stick
to the gasket when opening the cassette – gently re-tighten the slide or
substrate locating screws after use before opening the cassette.
